The phone cannot connect or the QR will not load. Make sure the phone and Mac are on the same Wi-Fi, and that the receiver is started. Some public, office, or guest networks block device-to-device traffic; a home network or a personal hotspot works best.
Where do received files go? Into the folder you pick under Saving options. Open Transfer History to reveal any file in Finder.
My photo lost its location after sending from Android. Android's photo picker removes GPS from photos it hands to a browser. To keep location, on the phone choose Files or Documents instead of the photo gallery when selecting.
Does anything go to the cloud? No. Files move directly between your devices over local Wi-Fi. DropBeam has no accounts and no servers.
