GigaBack is private by design. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
GigaBack scans the photo library on your iPhone to find duplicate photos, similar shots, screenshots, blurry photos, and large videos, so you can review them and free up storage. All scanning and matching happens entirely on your device.
None. GigaBack has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry. We do not operate any server. Your photos, videos, and scan results never leave your iPhone.
GigaBack asks for photo library access only to scan for duplicates and clutter, show you the results, and remove the items you choose. You can also grant limited access and scan only the photos you select. Photos are analyzed on your device and are never uploaded anywhere.
Nothing is ever removed without your confirmation. Deletions go through the standard iOS Photos confirmation, and everything you delete stays in your Recently Deleted album for about 30 days, where you can recover it.
If you import image files from the Files app (for example, chat exports), they are copied only into GigaBack's private storage on your device so they can be scanned. You can clear them at any time from inside the app.
If your library uses iCloud Photos with optimized storage, scanning may cause your device to download originals from your own iCloud account through Apple. That traffic is between your device and Apple; we never see it.
GigaBack Pro subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We do not receive or store your payment details.
GigaBack is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
